Tigers Surge Past Tornados in Non-Conference Bout

Hosting its fourth home game in the last three days, the Brevard College baseball team (2-15) fell in a non-conference test, 13-3, to ODAC member-institute Hampden-Sydney (11-3) on Monday afternoon at Gil Coan Field. 

The Tornados battled back from a 3-0 hole, cutting the Tiger lead to a 3-2 margin before Hampden-Sydney pulled away, scoring 11 out of the next 12 runs to claim the 13-3 triumph. 

Freshman outfielder Zach Allison had a career day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a run scored. Senior infielder Ryan Roon recorded an RBI double as part of a 2-for-4 effort that included two RBI’s and a run. Fellow senior Donny Carsillo hit an RBI double to score a baserunner.
