Toreros Beat Waves to Take Series in Malibu

A strong start on the mound from true freshman Logan Reddemann backed up by a collective effort from the Torero bullpen lifted San Diego baseball (25-12, 10-4 WCC) to a series-clinching win at Pepperdine on Saturday afternoon, earning the Toreros their 14th victory in their last 16 games as they took down the Waves (12-27, 6-8 WCC) by a 4-2 margin at Eddy D. Field Stadium. Pepperdine struck first in the opening frame, scored only once more on after Reddemann settled in and tossed five innings, allowing Jack Costello and Jakob Christian to lead the way for the San Diego offense, which scored three runs in the fourth inning and one run in the sixth.
