Toreros Win 2022 WCC Tournament Championship

San Diego baseball (36-18, 17-10 WCC) completed a resilient and thrilling comeback on Saturday afternoon at Banner Island Ballpark, elevating the program to heights not seen in nearly a decade with a 15-12 win in 11 innings over one-seed Gonzaga (37-16, 20-7 WCC) that secured the second West Coast Conference Tournament Championship in program history. Junior catcher Caleb Ricketts got the scoring started in the top of the first with an RBI double, then graduate utility player RJ Teijeiro doubled the advantage a batter later with an RBI single to make it 2-0.
