VALIANT SERIES: Transition from Second to Dominant Bullpen Arm

PURCHASE, N.Y. – In August of 2016, Manhattanville College welcomed the class of 2020 to campus. The baseball program brought in a giant freshman class of 17 student-athletes. This class was loaded with talent, and most knew they were fighting for a starting spot. One person who had that mindset was a kid from Stormville, N.Y., named John Cirillo. A graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes, Cirillo finished his senior season with a .346 batting average, assuring the Valiants that they were getting a quality, dedicated student-athlete. Besides the strong bat, Manhattanville was also getting a skilled infielder. In his final season of high school ball, Cirillo made only one error in over 20 games played.
