Warriors Play Small Ball to Near Perfection in 8-2 Series Opening Victory

Stan State played its version of small ball this evening to key its 8-2 series opening victory over the visiting San Francisco State Gators.  Jacob Baker led the way going three-for-three with three runs scored, a run batted in, and two stolen bases.  Flavio Perez, Mac Cabero, Kyle Rachels, and Robert Valdivia went a combined nine-for-17, scoring four runs and driving in three runs.  Tony Jacob (3-1) picked up the win in the start, pitching six innings, giving up three hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out five and walking three.
