Wolverines top Redhawks 9-3 in series opener

OREM, Utah— Utah Valley baseball won the opening game of their weekend series against Seattle University, 9-3, on Friday afternoon at UCCU Ballpark. Garrett Broussard finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Matthew Schwarz added three of his own RBIs for the UVU (24-22, 13-8) offense. Braden Boisvert pitched seven innings, limiting Seattle (13-32, 6-16) to just two runs.
