[Baseball] Barons Drop 2 to Middle Georgia State University
Mount Vernon, GA — The Barons lost the first game 8-2 and the second 4-0 in a non-conference doubleheader against Middle Georgia. In the first game, Austin Visocchi started and went 4 innings and Mackenzie McDowell (FR/Thomasville) went 3 innings with 4 strikeouts. At the plate, it was a slow daybut there were still some highlightsin the game. Ben Harris went 3 for 4 and Jordan Rahn (FR/Rincon) went for 2 for 4. Zach Wilson went 2 for 2 with a 2-run double that scored Ben Harris and Matt Collins for the only 2 runs for the Barons. In game 2, Tyrus Cook started on the mound and Charles Dopson came in to go for 3.2 innings with 4 strikeouts but would be taken out after an injury. Adrian Comas (SR/Tampa) would come in for relief and would strikeout all five batters he faced. Matt Collins went1 for 3, Eduardo Castillo leads the team going 2 for 3 and Taz Worrell (JR/Lake Butler) went 1 for 2 with a double.
