[Baseball] Barons Split Series With Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain, MS — Game one ended with a 3-4 score from a late run scored by Blue Mountain.The Barons were only able to collect 5 runs, while putting 3 runs across the plate.  The 5 hits came from Taz Worrell (JR/Lake Butler), Matt Collins, Ben Harris, Eduardo Castillo, and Mauri Miller (FR/Lilburn).  Tyrus Cook (FR/Lake Butler, FL) started on the mound, only giving up 5 hits with 6 strikeouts.  Jackson Smith (SO/Bartow) would come in for relief for Cook in the fourth inning.  Game two ended with last minute scoring by Blue Mountain leaving the score 5-4.  Taz Worrell led the lineup going 2 for 5 with an RBI, Ben Harris would go 1 for 4 with an RBI, and Eduardo Castillo went 1 for 3 with an RBI.  As well ashits from Aaron Ushery (SR/Riverdale) and Mauri Miller.  Charles Dopson (SO/Mcrae) started on the mound, after 3 innings Austin Visocchi would come in for 5 innings with 4 strikeouts and 3 hits and Adrian Comas (SR/Tampa) would finish the game.  Game three would work in the Barons favor as they were able to outhit Blue Mountain and come out with an 8-1 win.  Ben Harris would go 2 for 5 with 4 RBIs and a homerun, Eduardo Castillo went 2 for 5 with 2 RBIs, and Jackson Smith and Jordan Rahn (FR/Rincon) would both go 2 for 4.  The other RBIs came from Taz Worrell and Zack Wilson.  Ben Harris would pitch 8 innings with 12 strikeouts and only giving up 3 hits and one earned run.  Roberto Urena (SO/Loganville) would come in for relief for the final inning to seal the Barons' win.  The Barons next conference game series will be March 26th and 27th as they host Faulkner University.  written by: Sadie Rusteika
