[Baseball] Barons Split Series with Mobile University

Mobile, AL — In Game one between the University of Mobile and Brewton-Parker College was won with a go ahead run in the top of the ninth for BPC, leaving the score 4-3.  RBI's would come from Taz Worrell (JR/Lake Butler), Jordan Rahn (FR/Rincon), and Davis Young.  The lineup was led by Ben Harris going 2 for 4 as well as hits from Taz Worrell, Eduardo Castillo, Dylan Hall, Jordan Rahn, and Davis Young (FR/Augusta).  Austin Visocchi started on the mound going 2.1 innings with 2 strikeouts and not giving up a hit, Jackson Smith (SO/Bartow) would finish the third inning with 2 strikeouts and no hits allowed.  Trey Jones (JR/Baxley) would come in for the fourth inning and went 2.2 innings with 1 strikeout and Tyrus Cook (FR/Lake Butler, FL) went 3.1 innings giving up 1 hit and 2 strikeouts.  Game two was not as successful at the plate as the Barons could only muster up 2 hits, and the final score ended in a 3-0 loss.  The two hits would be doubles from Eduardo Castillo, going 1 for 3, and Davis Young, going 1 for 2.  Ben Harris would start on the mound and pitch the full 6 innings with 8 strikeouts and allowing only 3 hits.  Game three came down to the ninth inning once again, but the Barons could not hold the Rams and ended up losing 6-5.  Leading at the plate was Matt Collins, going 3 for 5, with 2 RBI's, Taz Worrell going 1 for 5, Ben Harris going 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Eduardo Castillo going 1 for 3 with a homerun and 2 RBI's.  Mackenzie McDowell (FR/Thomasville) started on the mound, going three innings, followed by Adrian Comas (SR/Tampa) going 2.1 innings.  Then Jackson Smith and Phillip Collins (JR/McDonough), and lastly Austin Visocchi would each take a turn on the mound.  The Barons will play their next conference game at Loyola University Friday, April 9thwritten by: Sadie Rusteika
