Mount Vernon, GA — The Brewton-Parker Barons Baseball Team swept Calumet College of St. Joseph in a four game series over the weekend.  Game 1 ended 19-7, Game 2 9-4, Game 3 5-3, Game 4 17-6. In game one, the Baron's bats found life, scoring in all but the 4th inning. Seth Graham went 3 for 5 from the plate, scoring 2 runs and knocking in another. George Boyd IV also had a good day at the plate, going 3 for 4  with 3 RBI's. Game two featured much of the same from the Barons, scoring 9 runs. The standout being Zach Wilson, hitting 2 for 4 with 2 runs and 1 RBI. Jacob Johnson also had an exceptional night from the mound, allowing just one hit in 3 innings of work. The closest Game of the series tested the Barons resolve as Calumet came on late scoring some runs to make the game tight. Brandon Hinkson had an exceptional night from the plate going 3 for 3 scoring 2 runs.  Josh Oliver was strong from the mound with 4.1 innings of work allowing no runs.   The Barons left the series, leaving no doubt, scoring 17 runs, 15 of which came in the first three innings.  This allowed Coach Larson to get some additional reps for more players. Both Chris Starling and Matt Collins went a perfect 1.000 behind the plate. Ben Harris had a good night from the mound allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run, facing 15 batters. The Barons next test comes at home against Point University on 2/18, a double header, with Game 1 at 3:00pm.
