[Baseball] Barons Sweep Doubleheader Against Thomas University
Thomasville, GA — In this non-conference doubleheader against the Thomas University Nighthawks, Barons won both games 8-4, as they highlighted the errors made by Thomas. A standout performance came from Jordan Rahn (FR/Rincon), who went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a double. The other hits came from Phillip Collins (JR/McDonough), Eduardo Castillo, Benjamin Harris (FR/Crystal Lake, IL), Malik Germany (FR/Grovetown), and a homerun from Zach Wilson. Auston Visocchi started on the mound going 5 innings with 4 strikeouts and Mackenzie McDowell (FR/Thomasville) would come in for relief with 2 strikeouts and only one run allowed. Game two was once again highlighted on the errors of Thomas as 8-4 was the final score again. The highlighted performance for this game came from Eduardo Castillo as he went 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs and a double and a homerun. Two hits came from Taz Worrell (JR/Lake Butler), while Phillip Collins, Jordan Rahn, and Aaron Ushery (SR/Riverdale) each had one. The other three RBIs came from Taz Worrell, Jordan Rahn, and Zach Wilson. Starting on the mound was Roberto Urena (SO/Loganville) and he went 5 innings, both Adrian Comas (SR/Tampa) and Benjamin Harris would come in for an inning, and neither would give up a run.
