[Baseball] Bulldogs Split With SAGU

Hawkins, TX – The Jarvis Christina College Baseball Team split games in a double header vs Soutwestern Assemblies of God University on Monday.  The Bulldogs would take game 1 by a score of 2-0, but would later fail in a comeback chance during game 2 by a score of 3-7. Nathan Rodriquez would earn the game 1 win for Jarvis Christian College.  Rodriquez worked an impressive six innings against the Lions, allowing no runs on 2 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.  Jan Reyes earned the save in the 7th and final inning, allowing no runs on 2 hits with no walks and 1 strikeout.  Both Yan Otero and Robert Morales-Candelario would provide the only two RBI's to lead the Bulldogs to victory over SAGU.The win moves Jarvis to a 2-12 overall record, while SAGU drops to a 20-6 overall record.  Jarvs returns to action tomorrow Tuesday March 9th, when the Bulldogs host Ottawa University-AZ.  First pitch is scheduled for 12 pm noon central.
