[Baseball] Dowling & Hayes Pace SXU in DH Split with Roosevelt

CHICAGO – Sophomore outfielder Kevin Dowling (Chicago, Ill./Murray State/Mount Carmel) finished the day 5-for-8 with three runs scored and a double, while Senior infielder Patrick Hayes (Chicago, Ill./Moraine Valley/Parkland/Brother Rice) went 2-for-5 with two RBI, two runs, two walks and a double to help Saint Xavier University baseball (16-19/8-6 CCAC) earned a split with Roosevelt University (Ill.) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Richard R. Ferrell Memorial Field in Chicago, Ill. Hayes broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the 6th with an RBI double enroute to a 5-3 victory in game one. Dowling tallied three hits in five at-bats with two runs and a double in a 12-5 defeat in game two.
