[Baseball] Hamzeh Named GPAC Pitcher of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have announced the GPAC Baseball weekly awards for contests played April 4-10, 2022. Lucas Hamzeh of Midland University was named this week's GPAC Pitcher of the Week.Hamzeh, a sophomore from Gilbert, Arizona, went 8.0 innings in his start this week against Northwestern. He allowed just three hits over the course of the game while striking out a season-high 12 batters. Earlier in the week, he pitched 2.0 innings in a non-conference game with nationally-ranked Bellevue. He had the best outing of the Midland pitchers, with one strikeout and one hit allowed.
