[Baseball] JV Baseball Defeats KWC

The Brescia Bearcats' JV Baseball team brought down the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers' JV in dramatic walk-off fashion under the lights of Kamuf Sports Complex Friday night. Both teams exchanged leads throughout the game before reaching the final stand in deadlock. With the game tied at 4-4 going into the bottom of the ninth inning, Sophomore shortstop Kyle Taylor led off for the Bearcats by taking a hit by pitch to earn a free pass to first base. Taylor advanced to second base on a ball in the dirt putting him in scoring position for Freshman second baseman Justin Capps coming up to bat. Capps delivered for the Bearcats by hitting a clutch line drive single to the right side of the field allowing the fleet footed Taylor to score from second base and end the game for a Bearcats win. With the win the Brescia JV improved their fall record to 2-3 after losing their first two contests to Olney Central College and then splitting a doubleheader with Martin Methodist University at home. Next up for the JV baseball team will be to travel to Martin Methodist University on Friday Oct. 18th for a doubleheader at 3pm.
