[Baseball] (RV) Cumberland University Outlasts Bearcats

On Wednesday night the Brescia Bearcats fought a tough battle with (RV) Cumberland (Tenn.) In this game Tyler Woods was the starter and he went four innings striking out two in the first four innings. The Bearcats offense went about grinding out ten runs in total for the game. Leading the way with the bats was Omar Yepez who drove in two.  Alejandro Hernandez, Zach Scheid, Nathaniel Harris, Joseph Guidry, and Yonnelle Firebrace all added in one RBI apiece.From the bullpen, Tres Corrigan went 4.1 innings allowing only two earned runs in the late innings, but the Phoenix from Cumberland found their way to score four in the top of the 9th. Despite a tough last-inning Bearcat effort, they fell just short of victory losing the battle 11-10.Next game is Friday against Asbury.
