[Baseball] Rycerz Guides SXU Baseball to 7-6 Win over St. Ambrose

Davenport, Iowa – Senior infielder Joe Rycerz (Schererville, Ind./Andrean) drove in five of the seven runs, including two off of a sacrifice fly that put the Cougars up 7-6 in the top of the 9th to lead the Saint Xavier University baseball team (12-15/4-2 CCAC) to a thrilling come from behind victory over St. Ambrose University (Iowa) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Friday afternoon at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport, Iowa. Rycerz finished the game 1-for-4 with a double to go along with his five RBI. Junior pitcher Tzu-Chun Yen (Kaohsiung, Taiwan/Ohlone/Meiho) earned the win in relief after logging 1.2 innings with one walk and one strikeout to improve his record to 2-0 on the mound this season.
