DOLPHINS BEGIN OPENING WEEKEND ON STATEN ISLAND WITH VICTORY OVER CALDWELL, 7-1

Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Baseball Team hosted their home-opener earlier today as they returned to Staten Island University Hospital Community Park for a matchup with Caldwell University.  The Dolphins picked up the 7-1 behind solid pitching and a double-digit hit total as the went on to defeat the Cougars, 7-1.  The loss for Caldwell comes in what was their season-opener as they begin the year 1-0.  The Dolphins have now won four of nine games all-time against the Cougars and will have a chance to even the all-time series on Friday of next week when the teams meet again.
