Game vs. Oswego suspended in the eighth

FREDONIA, N.Y. — With the Oswego baseball team leading 4-0 in the top of the eighth, the first game of the scheduled doubleheader was halted. The game will be picked up at a yet-to-be-determined time and location, followed by the second game of the double dip.

Peyton Ahlstrom threw the first seven innings for Fredonia State. The Dunkirk High grad scattered seven hits and struck out six, giving up three earned runs. He was the victim of some well-placed hits by the Lakers, only giving up two hard-hit balls.

Oswego starter Jake Danyluk tossed six shutout innings, striking out 10. He surrendered four hits. He was relieved by Larry Citrola who threw a scoreless seventh.

Kyle Tedford has two hits in the game for the Devils, and CJ McCarthy and David Winchester each have two hits for the Lakers.

Action will be picked up with Tishawn Featherstone at second base, and CJ McCarthy with a 1-0 count at the plate and nobody out. Fredonia State's Joe Tobia started the inning on the mound for the Devils.
