[Baseball] Location Changed For RRAC Baseball Championship

WACO, Texas — Due to anticipated thunderstorms and heavy rainfall this weekend, the 2019 RRAC Baseball Championship will now be played at Sterlington Sports Complex in Sterlington, La., on May 3-6. The event is being moved from Shreveport to the Monroe area, where the forecast is more promising. RRAC Baseball Championship InformationLSU Shreveport, which has hosted the tournament on their home field since 2011, determined that it would be better to move the event to an artificial surface to play the games and stick with the six-team, double-elimination format. LSUS will also host an NAIA regional in the following week. The RRAC tournament will be played on field #1 in Sterlington. Weather may still be a factor, but the impact will be diminished with the move. LSUS, which won the RRAC regular season championship, is the top seed. Our Lady of the Lake, LSU Alexandria, Texas A&M-Texarkana, Texas College and Jarvis Christian are also in the field.
