Stormy Split for Hawks in PacWest Opener

Oakland, Calif. — I The Dirty Birds would go down the road to kick off their PacWest opener against the Urban Knights of Academy of Art. It took a while longer than anticipated for the HAWKS to play their first PacWest Series, and when the dust settled there was plenty to build on and plenty to improve on. The series, much like the weather, started out well enough but finished a little sloppier than hoped. HNU came through with some big pitching performances and key hits in the first two wins, but would drop two close games to conclude the series after searching for that big pitch or swing in some key moments.
